All our invoices are payable within 30 days, unless otherwise stated on the invoice.

VAT, other fiscal charges, and various costs are always borne by the customer.

Any invoice that is not disputed in writing by the customer within ten (10) days of receipt is considered definitively accepted.

After the due date, a first free reminder will be sent. In case of non-payment, a second reminder will follow. With this second reminder, a late payment interest and a flat-rate compensation will be added as follows:

For B2B (invoices to businesses or government): Late payment interest and costs in accordance with the law of August 2, 2002, on combating late payment in commercial transactions.

For B2C (invoices to individuals), in accordance with Book XIX of the Economic Law Code: In addition to late payment interest, from day 15 after the first reminder, a flat-rate compensation of: 1) 20 euros if the outstanding balance is less than or equal to 150 euros; 2) 30 euros plus 10% of the amount due on the tranche between 150.01 and 500 euros if the outstanding balance is between 150.01 and 500 euros; 3) 65 euros plus 5% of the amount due on the tranche above 500 euros with a maximum of 2000 euros if the outstanding balance is more than 500 euros.

Any invoice that leads to legal proceedings, due to non-payment or any other reason, will automatically be increased by 15% for cost coverage, with a minimum of 50 euros.

In case of dispute, only the courts of Mechelen are competent. Regardless of the nature of the dispute, Belgian (federal or regional) legal, statutory, and regulatory provisions will always be applied.

In the event of non-payment of an invoice from VVM, the latter reserves the right to refuse additional deliveries of goods and/or the provision of additional services.

The Contractor is not allowed to withhold, delay, or offset the payment of outstanding invoices from VVM – De Lijn, in whole or in part, with any claims the Contractor may have against VVM-De Lijn.

Any deviation from these Business Sales Conditions must be recorded in writing.
